Type 2 diabetes: How can high glucose levels harm your body?
Type 2 diabetes has become a pandemic and is showing no signs of slowing down. Today, the estimated worldwide prevalence of type 1 and 2 diabetes is close to 300 million. This number is predicted to rise to 439 million by 2030, with type 2 diabetes accounting for about 90% of these cases. Individuals are often told that type 2 diabetes can be managed with healthy eating, regular exercise and blood sugar monitoring.
