Message from the Vice-Dean of Research

McMaster University is home to some of the best minds and laboratories in the country, and research is one of our most prized assets. In particular, The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) is a leader in generating research funding and has fueled exponential growth in health sciences knowledge and infrastructure.

FHS has established a strong, collaborative research network including our partners institutions throughout the city of Hamilton. Along with our hospital partners, we are globally recognized and consistently ranked among the top 50 universities in the world for health and medicine. We operate excellent facilities to support Faculty of Health Sciences researchers. Those facilities offer specialized services at affordable rates to basic and clinical researchers.

To assist our faculty in maximizing their research success, my office has established a team, known as Health Research Services, that aims to support FHS researchers with things such as; grant applications, funding opportunities and award acceptances.

McMaster’s Faculty of Health Sciences is passionate about innovation and research integrity which we see through our researchers every day. From basic science to novel therapies, from clinical research to policy development, our Faculty is a leader in advancing human health locally and around the globe.
