Tourettes Syndrome Under 6 Minutes
This video will present additional background information on Tourette’s, highlight the different presentations of motor and vocal tics, and outline steps individuals with Tourette’s can take in order to suppress sudden outbursts in their movement or speech.
Tourette’s Syndrome is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects nearly 4% of children, often manifesting between the ages of 6-8. The main characteristics of this disorder are the motor and vocal tics. Tics are sudden and rapid movements or vocalizations that are difficult to suppress. This video will present additional background information on Tourette’s, highlight the different presentations of motor and vocal tics, and outline steps individuals with Tourette’s can take in order to suppress sudden outbursts in their movement or speech.
