The HHS Medical Grand Rounds held on January 13 focused on the topic: Recognizing and Tackling Malnutrition. The keynote speaker was Dr. Leah Gramlich, Professor of Medicine, University of Alberta, Provincial Medical Advisor Nutrition Services, Alberta Health Services.
The main objectives were to:
- Understand the key evidence on the impact of hospital malnutrition
- Consider evidence based approaches to address malnutrition in hospital, at transitions of care and in the community
- Apply strategies, tools and resources aimed at detecting, treating, and preventing malnutrition in their clinical setting.
