This video breaks down the process of drug discovery, the unfortunate practice of over-prescription, as well as alternative naturopathic medicine
This video first breakdowns the complex processes of drug discovery by very briefly laying out the stages in a simple timeline that is easy to digest for the general public. It then looks at the escalating practice of over-prescription of drugs in North America through presenting evidence-based research. It will deconstruct what this practice looks like in a clinical setting and its social and health implications. Lastly, the video will cover the other end of the drug use spectrum by introducing naturopathic medicine. It will detail what naturopathic medicine entails, the philosophy behind it, its benefits, concerns and what common forms of treatments exist today.
