Health Sciences Library curates book display for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Monday, September 30 is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day. The orange shirt is worn to remember Phyllis Webstad, a residential school survivor whose new orange shirt was taken away on her first day of residential school when she was just six years old.

In recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, the Health Sciences Library (HSL) at McMaster University has curated a selection of books aimed at helping individuals understand the concepts of truth and reconciliation, as well as learn ways to incorporate reconciliation into their daily lives.

Books can be borrowed from the Health Sciences Library by students, staff and faculty—with a McMaster photo identification card—and those outside of the McMaster community. Visit the HSL website for more information.
