Hybrid Event
Dr Lisa Schwartz & Dr Sonya de Laat will be leading an interactive session on the Humanitarian Health Ethics Analysis Tool (HHEAT).
The workshop will help to develop your skills in thinking about, analyzing and responding to an ethically challenging situation related to healthcare in the context of a humanitarian response. Case studies and vignette-based simulations in small groups will be used to support your learning. The aim of ethical deliberation is not necessarily to claim that there is one ‘right’ answer to many challenging ethical issues, but to enrich discussion of what is ethically at stake in a particular situation, consider multiple perspectives, and articulate reasons why a decision was made to adopt one course of action over another.
Join us on April 16th, 2024 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in MDCL 3020! Can’t make it in person? Attend via Zoom: https://mcmaster.zoom.us/j/91336001868
