Dr Helen Neighbour and Dr. Diana Ahmed Appointed to UGME Leadership Positions

Dr. Neighbour will be responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of the Clerkship Curriculum, Dr Ahmed will work to improve the service learning opportunities and experiences of medical students.
Congratulations to Dr Helen Neighbour and Dr. Diana Ahmed on their appointments as the Chair of Clerkship & Integration Review Period and Director of Service Learning with the Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) Department respectively, effective March 1, 2022.
In her new role as Chair, Clerkship & Integration Review Period, Dr. Neighbour will be responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of the Clerkship Curriculum, including the Integration Review Period, within the distributed medical education network of McMaster’s Undergraduate Medical Education Program.
As UGME Program Director of Service Learning, Dr Ahmed will work to improve the service learning opportunities and experiences of medical students in the MD Program of McMaster University’s Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine. Service learning opportunities with the MD program are structured learning experiences that combine community service with preparation and reflection.
