Focus on cosmetic tourism, one of the most common being rhinoplasty, and the serious complications if medical safety procedures are not followed.
Part II
Over the past couple of years there has been an emerging trend in international travel for cosmetic Surgeries. One of the most common cosmetic Surgeries that is performed internationally is rhinoplasty. The Middle East, South America, Africa, and the Carribean are the most popular places patients go to, to seek cosmetic Surgeries.
There are many advantages to cosmetic tourism including, cost efficacy, shorter wait times, the willingness to perform difficult procedures as well as patient privacy. Although this concept seems appealing, there could be serious complications if medical safety procedures are not followed.
These complications post-surgery can lead to bacterial infections due to the lack of follow-up appointments and low quality sterilization. To manage and prevent these complications, patients and healthcare professionals can follow certain protocols and tips mentioned in our video.
