Myths around vaccination, the problem of vaccine hesitancy and the arguments
Vaccines have been instrumental in the improvement of human health worldwide, enabling the global eradication of diseases such as smallpox and the control of many other diseases such as polio, measles and tetanus. However, many people still believe vaccines can cause unintended and extreme side effects. This has led to the controversial problem of vaccine hesitancy and its associated myths. Recently designated as one of the top 10 threats to global health by the World Health Organization, vaccine hesitancy is a growing problem. This video looks at the myths around vaccination, the problem of vaccine hesitancy and the arguments held pro and con.
