Congratulations to YWCA Hamilton Award Winner Lianna Genovese

In honour of International Women’s Day on March 3, YWCA Hamilton celebrated the women and girls who build Hamilton and Halton with the 2022 Women of Distinction Awards.
Lianna Genovese, founder and CEO of ImaginAble Solutions Inc. and a biomedical and mechanical engineering student at McMaster, received the YWCA Hamilton Young Trailblazer Award, presented by Fusion Pharmaceuticals. Genovese received the award in recognition of her development of Guided Hands, a device that enables people with limited hand mobility to write, paint, draw, and access technology. She is also a graduate of The Clinic @ Mac’s Residency Program and Health Ventures program.

Other winners from the Faculty of Health Sciences include Dr. Susan Denberg, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Dr. Dawn Bowdish, who received the Health & Recreation Award. Bowdish is also an associate member of the MGD College of Health Inventors.
