Cardiologist changing attitudes about CPR around the world

Tapas Mondal, a pediatric cardiologist at McMaster, is promoting hands-only CPR to break down barriers that prevent bystanders from helping people during cardiac arrest.

McMaster pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Tapas Mondal is the supervisor of CPR Global, an initiative that trains individuals around the world who may be unwilling or unable to perform full CPR. Through online video modules presented in many languages as well as in-person training, CPR Global addresses misconceptions, stigma, and cultural barriers that prevent individuals from helping in a medical emergency.
Team members have provided training to remote communities around the world, as well as here in Hamilton.
