My role as Vice-Dean, Health Sciences and Executive Director, School of Rehabilitation Science is to be responsible for the educational, research and service activities of the School, the promotion of rehabilitation science within the Faculty of Health Sciences, the university, and the external community. I am also responsible for the development and utilization of faculty, and developing a culture where students, staff and faculty, and integrated education, research and service are valued and promoted.

How I describe my role:
I am responsible for representing the students, faculty and staff of the School of Rehabilitation Science (SRS) across the McMaster campus and more broadly. I also work within SRS to support our faculty and staff who conduct world-class research activities and deliver high-quality educational programs so students have the best possible educational experiences.

What do I do?
I represent the School of Rehabilitation Science across the university campus. I also:

• Work closely with the Assistant Deans of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation Science, Speech Language Pathology, and the Directors of the Master of Health Management and Integrated Rehabilitation and Humanities BHSc programs to support the development of high-quality educational programs and contribute to the enhancement of clinical services.
• Support and promote the diverse research and knowledge exchange activities conducted by the faculty in the School of Rehabilitation Science.
• Promote effective working relationships within each professional group, among faculty, students, and staff, and among the School, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the university, service agencies, alumni, and relevant external bodies.
• Conduct regular environmental scans within and external to the rehabilitation professions to identify trends, changes, and issues of particular relevance to the School and take appropriate action.
