Basic Stream Learn More
The Basic (A) Stream is a four-year integrated program of study designed for students who have not completed any other nursing education. This stream is offered at the McMaster and Mohawk sites.
Accelerated Stream Learn More
The Accelerated (F) Stream consists of five consecutive terms of study and is designed for students coming from a university science program of study. This stream is offered at the McMaster site.
Post-RPN Stream Learn More
The Post-Diploma RPN (E) Stream is a three-year integrated program of study for students who have earned a Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) diploma. This stream is offered at the Mohawk site.
Potential Careers:
Registered Nurses practice in teams with other health professionals to care for diverse clients across the lifespan.
Nurses practice in a variety of roles and clinical settings, such as:
- Hospitals, long-term care facilities and hospices
- Public health and homecare support services
- Entrepreneurs engaged in health/nursing care
- Researchers in nursing care, education, health care and policy
- Educators of individuals, families, communities and nursing students
- Correction and detention centres
- Parishes
- Telehealth
- On the street with vulnerable populations
- In a variety of industrial settings
- Poison control centres
