This video explains the ideas presented in a seminar about sepsis by Dr. Bram Rochwerg, a clinical scholar from the Department of Medicine and Dr. Alison Fox-Robichaud, an associate professor in the Department of Medicine and president of the Canadian Critical Care Society. It explains what sepsis is and how it affects the human body, the current treatment for sepsis, recent advances in the understanding of how sepsis develops and potential new tools to aid in recognizing and predicting outcomes in sepsis.
