Pediatric Eye Disease Video Interpretation and Diagnosis (PED-VID)
This study looks at the feasibility of using video interpretation of children’s eye examinations to help diagnose eye disease.
Telemedicine is a growing field in the delivery of health care, especially in geographically large countries, where many communities live far away from tertiary-level hospitals. PED-VID is a multi-centred, novel study which looks at the feasibility of using video interpretation of children’s eye examinations to help diagnose eye disease. The results of this study can help pave the way towards improving delivery of eye care to thousands of children living in rural communities not just in Canada, but worldwide.
