Nadia Tan, Graduate Student in Dr. Manali Mukherjee’s lab, has received the Graduate Student Award in Asthma Research for her project titled “Aberrant lymphocytes and airway autoimmunity: Connecting severe asthma and Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA) pathology”. Severe asthma and EGPA share common local airway autoimmune features. The overarching goal is to investigate a common underlying pathology that predisposes a subset of severe asthmatics to develop EGPA.
This award was sponsored by the Canadian Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Foundation (CAAIF), and the CIHR-Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health (CIHR-ICRH).
Congratulations Nadia!
