This video looks at meat consumption, focusing on the introduction of plant-based meat alternatives including “beyond meat.” This topic has gained a lot of popularity in the consumption industry from both the producers and consumers of meat products. This video takes the audience through the advancements in the production of meat alternatives that have become possible replacements for real meat. It introduces companies that have initiated this movement including “beyond meat” and analyzes their growing gain of market share in the previously undisrupted meat industry. It then examines the positive effects of plant-based meat products. The majority of consumers of plant-based meats are drawn to the products due to the associated health benefits in comparison to meat. Furthermore, it will introduce topics of sustainability as this video will discuss the benefits of plant-based meat consumption for the environment. This includes reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and water consumption which require great attention due to climate change.
