Medical Grand Rounds on Hypertension and Chronic Kidney Disease

Speakers discussed the current management and guidelines for hypertension among other key highlights.
The Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) Medical Grand Rounds held on Thursday, January 27 focused on “Hypertension and Chronic Kidney Disease: A review of recent evidence.”
The objectives were to:
- Discuss the current management and guidelines for hypertension
- Discuss updates to the KDIGO CKD + HTN 2021 Guidelines
- Evaluate new evidence regarding the use of chlorthalidone in CKD
Speakers were: Tamoor Afzaal, PGY3; Curtis Sobchak, PGY3; Alexander Grindal, PGY3. Their Supervisor is Dr. Lonnie Pyne.
