Since the summer of 2008, Laura has worked closely with the Midwifery Education Program. In supporting the program, Laura’s role encompasses teaching, developing library tools and resources to support learning, and providing one-on-one support. Over the years she has taught library orientation to incoming students, and course specific database and research sessions.
Elsewhere on campus, Laura is actively involved in providing support for learning and research within a range of other disciplines and interdisciplinary contexts. She is an active collaborator and advisor in both student and faculty lead research.
Laura understands the student experience and challenges of navigating a new discipline as she is currently pursuing her PhD in Geography. She deeply understands the stress of trying to navigate the world of information, from articulating ideas and questions, to finding the right paper. As a result, she is always ready to help, no matter how tangled the topic.
