Guindon leads research on two new studies related to tobacco and e-cigarette use
Emmanuel Guindon is co- Principal Investigator (PI) on two research projects related to tobacco use and smoking.
The study “Cigarette taxes, prices and tax evasion in Canada: implications for tobacco control,” with co-PIs Michael Chaiton and Annie Montreuil, include CHEPA members Julia Abelson, Laura Anderson and Arthur Sweetman as co-Investigators. It received $420,752 from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and will run until September 2024.
A second research project, entitled “An Experimental Investigation of the Demand for Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS)” Includes Sweetman as a co-investigator. The $100,000 one-year study is jointly financed by CIHR and the Canadian Cancer Society.
