Emma Apatu, Director of McMaster’s Master of Public Health Program (MPH) and co-investigators Lawrence Mbuagbaw, Joel Tiller and Sarah Neil-Sztramko have been awarded a Leadership in Teaching and Learning Fellowship from McMaster’s MacPherson Institute for “Transforming the Master of Public Health Program to Meet Workforce Needs”.
Through a series of internal and external stakeholder engagement initiatives in 2018-2019, the MPH Program developed a renewed program vision, “Creating a healthier and more equitable world through evidence-informed public health research, education, and practice”, and is now developing and refining a new set of strategic goals and objectives that will position the MPH program to be more ‘ responsive’ to current and future health challenges.
As well, Apatu and co-investigators including Elizabeth Alvarez and Laura Anderson, also received a PALAT grant for Integration of InPlace Software in the MPH Program.
