Dr. Maria Fe Cruz Medina, Appointed Assistant Professor
Congratulations to Dr. Maria Fe Cruz Medina, on being appointed Assistant Professor, Division of Hematology & Thromboembolism.
Dr. Maria Fe Cruz Medina was appointed Assistant Professor, Division of Hematology & Thromboembolism, Department of Medicine, effective July 1st 2021.
Previously, she was Assistant Professor in Pathology and Molecular Medicine, Division of Molecular Medicine at McMaster Immunology Research Centre (MIRC). This change allows her to better collaborate and contribute to various research projects. She has collaborated in research on COVID Vaccine Development and Manufacturing for MIRC researchers, among other research.
Dr. Medina earned her PhD from the Department of Molecular & Medical Genetics, University of Toronto, and did her Postdoctoral training at the Institute for Human Gene Therapy, University of Pennsylvania.
She has mentored trainees from MIRC and collaborators in Engineering Department on viral vector cloning, rescue, scale-up and purification.
