Dr. Faiza Khokhar Appointed Assistant Professor, Division of Rheumatology

Dr. Faiza Khokhar has been appointed as Assistant Professor, Division of Rheumatology effective July 1, 2021.
Congratulations to Dr. Faiza Khokhar on her appointment as Assistant Professor (Special), Division of Rheumatology, in the Department of Medicine effective July 1, 2021. Dr. Khokhar will be in the clinician-educator stream and will be primarily sited at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.
Dr. Khokhar attended McMaster University where she completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences with Distinction in 2011; a Doctor of Medicine in 2014; the Internal Medicine Residency Program in 2017 and a Rheumatology Fellowship Program in 2019. She is currently in her second year of a Clinical Scholar appointment in the Department of Medicine and is also enrolled in a Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) at Maastricht University, Netherlands.
Dr. Khokhar’s teaching experience includes Internal Medicine Resident Coach (CBME) for the McMaster University Internal Medicine Program and Clerkship Selective Coordinator for MSK Boot Camp, McMaster University Undergraduate Medical Education.
Dr. Khohkar’s research focuses on a retrospective chart review on Length of Temporal Artery Biopsy in the Diagnosis of Giant Cell Arteritis; and a study on Sub-Clinical Diseases Activity in the Feet of Patients with Early Rheumatoid Arthritis: What Clinical Assessments Miss. For her MHPE Thesis she is researching: The Perspective of Stakeholders on Readiness and Engagement in Social-Media Based Knowledge Translation in Medicine.
