Dr. Christopher Stallwood, Assistant Professor, Division of Gastroenterology

Congratulations to Dr. Christopher Stallwood on being appointed Assistant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology, effective August 1, 2021.
Dr. Stallwood completed a Bachelor of Science at Boston College, Massachusetts USA, a Master of Arts, Medical Science at Boston University followed by his Doctor of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School, in Virginia, USA. Subsequently, he completed his Internal Medicine Residency Training at Boston University Medical Centre in 2014 and Gastroenterology Residency training at McMaster University in 2016. In 2017, he completed sub-specialty training at the University of Chicago, Illinois where he undertook a Therapeutic Endoscopy Fellowship.
Dr. Stallwood has held an Assistant Professor appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine for the past three years; and is an Attending Gastroenterologist/Therapeutic Endoscopist at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Centre. He has been on staff at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine since September 2017. Dr. Stallwood is the Site Director for the Adult Gastroenterology Fellowship Program, the Clerkship Director for Tufts University medical students rotating through the GI service and has been a member of the Intern Selection Committee.
Dr. Stallwood has four lifetime peer reviewed publications. His most recent publication was in the prestigious Endoscopy Journal. At St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, he is a regular presenter to medical students, postgraduate trainees and at Grand Rounds.
Dr. Stallwood will be primarily sited at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.
