Explains the mechanism of the menstrual cycle, what hormones are involved in the menstrual cycle, how they work and how they mediate the 3 phases of the menstrual cycle.
This video deconstructs the mechanism of the menstrual cycle, describes what hormones are involved in the menstrual cycle, how they work and how they mediate the 3 phases of the menstrual cycle. It also explains each phase throughout the 28-day cycle and what is happening in the endometrium during that time. The goal of this video is to help men and women understand what is going on in a woman’s body during the menstrual cycle. This video was created with the help of Hana and Rebecca of Bleed Free McMaster, a club on McMaster campus dedicated to tackling menstrual stigmas and barriers.
