The purpose of this video is to inform those who are not familiar with aortic valve stenosis and to provide general information for those affected by the disease.
Aortic valve stenosis is a severe valve disease that is characterized by a narrowing of the aortic valve. In this video, we define aortic valve stenosis, go over the signs and symptoms, and review the causes of this disease. We then compare and contrast various treatments for this disease, such as surgical aortic valve replacement, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and balloon valvuloplasty. The purpose of this video is to inform those who are not familiar with aortic valve stenosis and to provide general information for those affected by the disease.
