An autoimmune disease that currently has no cure, scleroderma can be debilitating and may drastically change the lives of people who are affected. In severe cases, scleroderma effects the whole body by spreading to multiple organ systems. Although its associated symptoms can be severe, they can be largely reduced if scleroderma is detected in its early stages and properly managed.
