Discusses the diagnosis, treatment and management of medulloblastoma — the most common malignant childhood brain tumour.
While the public is intimately aware of the word “cancer” and its implications, they are not always well versed with the numerous subtypes of cancer, such as medulloblastoma. Despite being the most common malignant childhood brain tumour, the basic details of the disease often go unpronounced. This video discusses the diagnosis, treatment and management of medulloblastoma — the most common malignant childhood brain tumour. A fictional case study of a patient named Ron, a 12-year-old medulloblastoma survivor, is used to help introduce the disease and what it means for patients and their families.
