This video describes the novel gene-editing process known as prime editing. Prime editing is based on the CRISPR/Cas9 mechanism of gene editing. Prime editing is aimed to be a more precise version of gene editing through the use of reverse transcriptase and prime editors, thereby reducing off-target effects that can cause mutations. The video looks at the public’s perspective on gene editing as well as suggested ethical solutions from recent literature.
