McMaster’s Faculty of Health Sciences ranks among the best in the world

The Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University has once again ranked among the top 50 health and medicine universities in the world in four major international university rankings, reinforcing McMaster’s reputation as a global leader in health.

“We are proud to once again be recognized as one of the top 50 universities in the world for health and medicine and top four in Canada as we continue our focus on advancing global health and well-being for all,” says Dean and Vice-President, Paul O’Byrne.

In the recently released subject ranking of Clinic and Health, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings ranked the Faculty of Health Sciences 36th in the world and fourth in Canada.

Earlier this year, subject matter rankings were released by the QS World University Rankings, which saw Health Sciences at McMaster place 24th in Nursing, 36th in Anatomy and Physiology and 40th in Medicine.

The Shanghai Global Rankings placed Health Sciences at McMaster among the top 40 universities in the Clinical Medicine academic subject rankings. In addition, Shanghai ranked McMaster in the top 100 universities overall.

McMaster also ranked third in Canada and 36th in Clinical Medicine in the US News & Report Best Global University Rankings and in the top 50 for Cardiac and Cardiovascular Systems.
