About Us

Welcome to the School of Rehabilitation Science

Message from the Vice-Dean, Dina Brooks

Welcome to McMaster University’s School of Rehabilitation Science

The School of Rehabilitation Science has been offering innovative problem-based programs in Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy for over 30 years and, most recently, launched a new program in Speech-Language Pathology. A key strength of the clinical rehabilitation programs is our partnership with the community to ensure the programs are at the leading edge of clinical practice.

Building on our reputation for innovative education and research, the School of Rehabilitation Science offers a thesis Master degree; an online course-based Master degree, and a PhD in Rehabilitation Science. These programs are supported by our talented researchers who are internationally renowned. Students in our Rehabilitation Science thesis and course-based programs continue to receive highly competitive and prestigious scholarships and awards.

We also offer a Master of Health Management, an online innovative program in collaboration with the DeGroote School of Business. This part-time or full-time distance degree uses the latest online teaching techniques with two short, intensive onsite residency periods to deliver the program. Experts with experience in academia, industry, business and government assist the students in developing the skills needed to solve complex health-care problems.

Our programs have an international reputation for promoting excellence in clinical practice, research and management. The small group interactive nature of our educational programs allows graduates to gain skills in collaboration and communication that are foundational to successful careers.

I encourage you to explore our website to learn more about our innovative educational programs, accomplished faculty and outstanding research. If you require additional information, please connect with us
