Dr. Phoenix is an Assistant Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Science. Dr. Phoenix practiced as a speech-language pathologist in the Waterloo Region, working with children birth to five years old and their families.

RESEARCH INTERESTS: Dr. Phoenix's research focuses on parent engagement in therapy, family-centred care, parent mental health, accessibility in service delivery, models of service delivery, and patient and public engagement in research. She primarily does qualitative research, but has an interest in literature reviews and mixed methods research. Michelle enjoys doing research on teams with community partners (including children, parents, clinicians, organizations, and academic partners).
