Applicants are required to provide two (2) academic references. The references should be able to speak to your academic strengths. At least one of your references must come from an academic source. If more than 5 years have elapsed since you last registered in a university course, we will accept a professional referee. A professional referee must be able to comment on your academic abilities.

The writing sample primarily serves as an evidential sample. The admission committee reviews the writing samples submitted to determine the applicant’s writing skills.
No, the transcript that you upload in the application portal does not have to be official. We encourage applicants to submit an unofficial copy of transcripts in the application portal as it allows our Admissions Committee to start accessing your eligibility while we wait for your official transcripts to arrive in the program office.
The program determines your eligibility by looking at the last 30 units of your upper level health relevant courses.
If you are applying to the PhD Dual degree (RS PhD/PT MSc), applicants need to meet the admission requirements of both the RS and PT program. Please carefully review the admissions requirements from the Physiotherapy program listed on their website.
While applicants are not required to find a supervisor before applying, it is highly encouraged that you connect with potential supervisors prior to applying to the program. The complete list of Rehabilitation Science faculty members can be found on our website.
If you are unable to secure a supervisor, please list three proposed supervisors that you are interested in working with. We expect that you reach out to any proposed supervisors that you list in your application.
