Gender equity in medicine improves patient outcomes, enhances productivity, and decreases burnout and attrition of women in medicine. Dr. Alim Pardhan - a true champion of gender equity in medicine - recently received an Honourable Mention for the 2021 Women in Medicine Summit #HeforShe Award.  He was nominated for this award by his colleague, Dr. Teresa Chan.

Dr. Pardhan was recognized as a man who has made significant contributions to improve the careers of women physicians, and who stands up every day as an ally who recognizes and fights to correct gender disparity.

Women in Medicine (“WIM”) is a state recognized non-profit organization dedicated to educating, informing and imparting skills to women in healthcare to combat, close and eliminate the inequitable gender gap pervasive throughout society including the professional American medical healthcare system.
