Dr. Paul O'Byrne, Dean and Vice-President, Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University highlights new concepts in preventing asthma exacerbations in his presentation at the Chair’s Medical Grand Rounds.

His presentation focused on the following objectives:
  • To identify the risks of severe asthma exacerbations
  • To discuss current treatment strategies and their effect on exacerbation risk
  • To present studies which provide new insights in reducing severe asthma exacerbation risk
  • To discuss the possible mechanisms of these benefits
