Developing an Evaluation Framework for a National Palliative Care Education Program
In this session, you will be presented with an overview of the process of development of a prototype evaluation framework for a Canada-wide palliative care education program. A brief description of Pallium Canada and their national palliative care education program will be offered to provide context. This will be followed by the steps taken to develop a comprehensive evaluation plan for Pallium Canada’s interprofessional continuing professional development educational efforts for the next five years.
About Dr. Shera HosseiniDr. Shera Hosseini received her Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo in Public Health and Gerontology and her master’s in clinical Neuroscience from McMaster University. Her postdoctoral work at the Department of Family Medicine is a collaboration between McMaster Institute for Research on Aging and MERIT which employs research and program evaluation to examine important issues related to health professions education and its impact on geriatric health and care of older adults. Her work is published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at scientific venues.
