The McMaster Demystifying Medicine Seminar Series is both an undergraduate course (HTS 4DM3) where students create well-researched videos and podcasts to further Knowledge Translation and Communication in the fields of science, technology, and medicine, as well as a collection where faculty and trainees present pathologies, patient diagnoses and therapies of major diseases and current research. This is designed to help increase the understanding of how advances in biology can be applied to diseases and discusses frequently emerging scientific, medical and ethical areas of interest.
Most videos are directed towards individuals in university and medical settings, including students, faculty and clinicians, however many videos are perfectly suitable for high school students and even some for children (Look for the #KidZone next to the video title).
