Demystifying Medicine Video

The use of face masks to combat COVID-19 has been extremely polarizing. This accessory has created immense division within our world and many people deny their importance and overall efficacy. But why do so many people wear them then? Why do all scientific and medical institutions recommend that we should wear them? The answer is simple: they significantly reduce COVID-19 transmission and help keep us safe.

This video helps demonstrate the effectiveness of face mask by answering common questions anti-maskers impose: What are masks? How do they work? Are they even effective?

By answering these 3 questions, we believe the importance of wearing face masks is undeniably clear. However, to ensure our message is clear, the video concludes with an easily accessible experiment that anyone at home can also conduct. In fact, we encourage the audience to perform the experiment and it will really help illustrate the effectiveness of face masks.
