Demystifying Medicine Video

A quick look at Kylie Jenner’s lips over time tells us that something is up. She is a reality TV star part of the Kardashian family. Being in a position of fame and someone who teenage girls look up to, her newly acquired plumped lips caused a bit of controversy. The challenge stems from people trying to emulate her lips, usually for fun, by artificially plumping their lips. Teenagers insert their lips into a shot glass, small jar or bottle, then suck out the air, creating a vacuum. This practice is dangerous as well as concerning and makes us question the motive behind it. We will delve deeper into the sociocultural, psychological, and biological aspects of it.
