Your body repairs these tears more than it needs to so that the next time you do the exact same physical activity, your muscles will be ready. Due to this reason, your muscles get physically bigger and doing the same workout seems easier. Many athletes around the world take ice baths after a game to boost this muscle recovery process. But do ice baths actually work?
