Demystifying Medicine Video

Alzheimer's is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behaviour. Symptoms usually develop slowly and get worse over time, becoming severe enough to interfere with daily tasks. This video was created in collaboration with McMaster University's Basic & Clinical Neuroscience (Psychology 2NF3) class as a part of a community engagement project. It presents current research on preventative methods used for individuals diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's or those who may be susceptible to develop the disease later in life.
