This video explores the history and development of respiratory medicine, focusing on the discoveries that shaped our understanding of the anatomy and physiology of breathing, as well as the beginnings of how our understanding of the lungs began to be applied to clinical care. The contributions of The Oxford Group, Robert Hooke, Antoine Lavosier, and Humphrey Davy are discussed.
