How do I go about booking a room in HSC or MDCL?
Please contact Katie Raposo (raposk2@mcmaster.ca) for more information.
How do I go about printing a poster?
Please Note: Due to Covid-19, the poster printer is currently unavailable.
Bring a USB key to HSC-4H21A. We have a sign up sheet to complete so we have your contact information and research account number for payment. We use glossy photo finish paper in 100 foot rolls. Our large format printer can print up to a maximum of 36" wide (depending on orientation). The printer is preset at (36” x 48”), however can be adjusted to print custom sizes.
What applications can I use to create a poster?
We can print research ‘posters’ done in PowerPoint (PC version). For MAC users, save as pdf file. Other graphic programs such as Quark Express / Illustrator / Indesign are not supported. It is important that posters be constructed to the size required for outputting. Posters should not be created in small sizes, and then blown up to full size, as quality suffers with the enlargement.
For questions regarding the poster printer, contact Katie Raposo at extension 22065 or raposk2@mcmaster.ca.
Poster Printer Fee:
All posters cost $80
Where do I submit a work order or key request?
Please email Katie Raposo (raposk2@mcmaster.ca) if you require a work order or key request.
